Luke Jackson.

With his thick southern drawl and seductive charm, Luke is the country boy everyone adores. He has his future mapped out, but his plans with Olivia are suddenly derailed when she makes a decision that blindsides him, changing the path they both envisioned.

As Luke struggles to keep everything in check during a difficult time in his life, he must put his trust in the one person who broke it to begin with. The last time they saw each other, Olivia busted his heart wide open, turning him into the man he is today.

When Olivia returns to her roots, just like Luke said she would, he is shocked for more reasons than one. Nine years have passed since they've seen each other, and when their roads collide unexpectedly, Luke can only push his worry and misgivings away for so long.

Things are different now—they are strangers—and the rope that once bound Olivia's heart to South Fork, Georgia is pulling her back in, forcing her to remember how it used to be all those years ago.

Lucia Franco’s debut novel is fantastic. It captured me from the start and I was looking forward to every moment I went back to reading.

Olivia, or Livy to her friends, is a strong character. She’s not afraid to go after what she wants and she won’t apologize to anyone for it. She’s a doctor and she fought for it most of her life.

Luke is more caring and sensitive in this matter. He puts his family first. While he loves going on tours and singing he’s a family guy and you can see that with every choice he makes.

The book opens on a heartbreaking scene: 9 years ago, Livy left Luke to study medicine in NYC, not even bothering to tell him until the last minute. This was something I hated about her. While I respect her decision to leave and maybe even her need to do it, she had a relationship with Luke that went all the way to their childhood, so why didn’t she thought about him? Why never include him in such an important choice when she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life?

Why did she have to break my heart in page 1?!

So yeah, as you can see I didn’t take that well BUT if Ms. Franco managed to put me all teary eyed in the first scene of the book I figured this book was good and I wasn’t wrong!

After that horrible night where Livy broke everyone’s heart, the story moves 9 years in the future - a.k.a. present – to Luke being a famous singer where I ignore he sings country music and pretend he’s a rock star and Livy a neurologist who just move back to the south. When an unpleasant situation throws them back together, this two can’t stop the feelings and memories of what they had.

You’ll Think of Me is a very powerful book emotionally. The two main characters go up and down and face a few ghosts along that will have you smiling and crying all in one. It is story about first love and how, no matter what, if it’s meant to be it’ll happen. You’ll Think of Me is about forgiveness and redemption, how you can let go of the past and mistakes and make things right.

I fell in love, got my heart broken, someone stepped on my poor broken heart and then I fell in love again.

Ms. Franco managed to keep the Present story line perfectly in synch with the flashback chapters that explained how Luke and Livy broke up. And somehow, I didn’t get lost in the POV changes and times, so she did a good job with it! This is a great book and I’m looking forward to read more from this author.
